Need help identifying Apple II pickup

Hello Everyone,

This is my first post here and I need some help identifying and making sure this Apple II I picked up from a thrift shop checks out. The thrift shop unfortunately didn’t have any history on it. I attached some photos of what I have found so far. My main concern at first was with the serial number sticker on the bottom plate, from the majority of Apple II’s I have seen online the serial number sticker is typically centered and this one I picked up is pretty offset. Has anyone encountered this with an Apple II Serial number and are there ever misprints like this? It does look to be a rev 3 board and the power supply does appear to be an A2M001, but someone decided to flip it upside down, then stick a custom grill on it and removed the psu serial number sticker for some odd reason. The casing was cut for the turbo they added on it, so I ended up removing it since I plan on using a spare psu I have and shelving the A2M001. Besides that the keyboard has the raised power light keycap and I attached photos from what I can see after removing it from the casing. Any help is appreciated in trying to understand more about it and verifying it is an Apple II. I will try to post to an Apple II FB group or Reddit as well to see what other responses come about. Thank you!

I don't think it's unusual

I don't think it's unusual for stickers to have uneven margins. Besides the serial number on it, the keyboard and the power light all correspond to a Rev.3 motherboard. The Rev.0s are the ones that really need to be examined with a microscope, since they can fetch anywhere from 6 to 10 grand on eBay.

I appreciate your response

I appreciate your response CVT, the other parts looked fine as you mentioned. I just wanted to double check since I have only been able to see images of other recently sold Apple II listings and had seen the difference with the uneven margin sticker, but it sounds like it could happen. Thanks again!

Great find!

Great job finding that at a thrift store. Thanks for sharing I do not go to too many thrift stores nowadays as I have not found any Apple II items at the thrift store in over 10 years. Hope you get it up and running soon. And when you do, please post more pictures!

Thanks old_hitech, and no

Thanks old_hitech, and no problem! I am glad I had the opportunity to purchase this Apple II. I was able to power it on and I recently purchased some integer roms, but I will make sure to post pictures in a few weeks when I am back from vacation.
